Black holding tank cleaning:
We all know what’s in an RV’s black holding tank. And we know you do your best to keep things clean, in there. But most black tanks have significant build-ups of waste and other debris and not to mention the dreaded POOP PARIMID. Why? While your black tank sprayers do a good job of keeping things rinsed out, there’s no way for them to completely clean the tank.
Our 1800 PSI pressure washer with special cleaning heads, literally blasts every surface in your black holding tank, cleaning off months — and even years — of debris, getting hard-to-reach areas like corners and the front bulkhead in the tank and flushing out everything until the tanks are like new and the sensors finally reading 0%! We follow up with several rinsing cycles that removes anything the pressure washer didn’t flush out. We always follow this up with a detergent deep cleaning.
Gray holding tank cleaning:
While we think of black tanks as being the King of Nasty, an RV’s gray tank can be almost as bad — or even worse! Gray tanks tend to accumulate mold and mildew, which thrive in the dark, damp, and warm environment inside a gray holding tank. Just as our 1800 PSI pressure washer process, scrubs your gray tank, removing mold, mildew, food and human waste, and any other debris or build-up present in the tank, and leaves the sensors finally reading 0%! We follow up with several rinsing cycles that removes anything the pressure washer didn’t flush out. We always follow this up with a detergent deep cleaning.
How do we clean your tanks?
It’s one of the most frequently asked questions we get! Once you see how we do it, it seems almost…simple. We attach a special pipe fitting between your RV’s waste pipe and the flexible sewer hose and then guide a specially-designed cleaning head at the end of a flexible pressure hose into your tanks. The 1800 PSI water pressure generated by our pressure washer, aggressively scrubs and cleans your tanks, pushing waste and debris back down through the flexible sewer hose and into the RV park’s waste collection and processing system.
What do we need to clean your RV’s tanks?
We use somewhere between 100 and 200 gallons of water to clean your RV’s holding tanks. For this reason, you will need to have your RV located at an RV park or resort which has full hook-ups: city water, 110 volt 15,30 or 50 amp electric, and — most importantly — sewer hook-up.
What about the sensors?
In nine out of ten cases, we can usually get your RV’s tank sensors reading correctly again. Most tank sensors fail because of the tank additive you use. An additive that dissolves, breaks down, or otherwise digests waste is only making a tankful of pancake batter-like waste (especially in the black tank) that is sticky, thick, and almost impossible to get out.
In that one out of ten case, however, we just won’t be able to get your tank sensors working properly again. It could be a failure of the electronics in the sensors, rusted sensor probes, corroded or even disconnected sensors wires, or just a probe or mechanical failure. As much as we try, these circumstances mean your sensors will need to be replaced.
Tips for holding tank care and maintenance:
Here are some tips any RV owner can implement to care for their holding tanks:
Have you ever wondered if your engine and transmission are in proper working condition? With a fluid sampling of your engine or generator oil, transmission fluid, engine or generator coolant, power steering, break fluids, even hydraulic fluid, you can find out if everything is functioning smoothly, or if you are looking at a potential expensive problem.
We will perform the fluid sampling for you, send it to a lab specializing in fluid analysis, and the results will be sent directly to you, typically within 2-3 days. You will know with certainty if your engine fluids are good, or if there are elements of wear and fatigue.
These samples can be drawn on your personal auto, minivan, SUV, truck, or motorized RV, Moped, Motorcycle, whether it is gas or diesel.
